Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between Doppler LLC, a Nevada limited liability company based in Las Vegas, Nevada (“Doppler”, “we”, “us”), and the business that signs up for Salon Bell (“you”, “your salon”). Salon Bell is an online booking and salon management service offered at doppler.work (the “Service”). Until October 17, 2026 the Service was called Salon Pilot; only the name changed.
By creating a Salon Bell account, accepting an owner invitation, or using the Service, you agree to these terms on behalf of your salon. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
Salon Bell gives your salon:
- a public website page and an online booking page at doppler.work/your-salon;
- a staff workspace for your calendar, services, team, clients and settings;
- email notifications to your clients about their appointments;
- optional online deposits, processed through your salon's own Stripe account.
We may add, change or remove features over time. We will tell you about changes that materially reduce what the Service does.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for your salon. The person who accepts the owner invitation is the salon's owner account and can add or remove staff accounts.
- Keep your passwords and invite links private. Anything done through your accounts is your responsibility until you tell us the account was compromised.
- You are responsible for the information you publish on your salon page, including prices, hours, policies and photos, and for having the right to use that content.
3. Price and payment
- The Service costs $10 per location per month, or $100 per location per year if you choose to pay yearly, with no limit on the number of staff accounts. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes we are required to collect.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. A location is one physical salon address with its own booking page.
- New salons start with a free 14-day trial; no card is needed to start, and nothing is charged until you subscribe. Some salons are offered the Service free of charge; we will say so in your workspace, and those salons are not billed unless they choose a paid plan.
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your workspace or by emailing hello@doppler.work. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (month or year); we do not refund partial periods.
- If a payment fails, we will let you know and retry. We may pause online booking for an unpaid salon after reasonable notice.
- We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email.
4. Deposits and payments from your clients
- Online deposits are processed by Stripe through a Stripe account that belongs to your salon. Doppler is not the merchant, does not hold your clients' money and does not take a share of your deposits.
- Your use of Stripe is governed by Stripe's own terms, including the Stripe Services Agreement, which you accept during Stripe onboarding. Stripe's processing fees are paid by your salon.
- Your cancellation, deposit, no-show and refund policies are yours. You decide them, you show them to your clients through the Service, and you are responsible for applying them fairly and in line with the laws that apply to your business. The Service never charges a client's card for a fee without an explicit action by your staff.
- Refunds of deposits are issued by your salon from your workspace or your Stripe account.
5. Your clients' data
Your salon owns the information about your clients and appointments that you collect through the Service. We process it for you, as described in our Privacy Policy, only to run the Service. You agree to:
- collect and use client information lawfully and only for running your salon;
- not use the Service to send marketing your clients did not ask for;
- answer your clients' requests about their own data, with our help where needed.
You can export your salon's data from your workspace at any time.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful;
- upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is offensive or infringing;
- try to access other salons' data, probe or disrupt the Service, or bypass its security;
- resell the Service or present it as your own product.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where practical, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
7. Availability and support
- We work to keep the Service available and backed up, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, outages at our providers, and problems outside our control can affect it.
- Support is by email at hello@doppler.work. We aim to answer within two business days.
- The Service is not a system of record for legal, tax or accounting purposes. Keep your own records of payments and client agreements.
8. Ending the agreement
- You can stop using the Service and cancel at any time (section 3). After cancellation your salon page and booking page stop answering, and we keep your data for 90 days so you can export it or come back. After that we delete it, except where we must keep it by law.
- We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you seriously breach these terms or if we are required to by law.
9. Intellectual property
Doppler owns the Service, its software and its design. You own your content and your data. You give us permission to host and display your content only as needed to run the Service for you.
10. Disclaimers and limits on liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for losses caused by your clients, by Stripe or other third parties, or by events outside our reasonable control.
To the extent allowed by law, Doppler's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and email the salon owner at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict of law rules. We both agree to try to resolve any dispute informally first by contacting each other. If that fails, disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and each of us consents to their jurisdiction.
